Senior High

Sunday Mornings
Each Sunday morning, we offer age-appropriate, Bible-based classes to help our young people grow in their knowledge of and love for God. Our junior high and high school classes focus on becoming grounded in the teachings of God’s Word as expressed in the confessions of our church, considering the practical implications of those beliefs for living out their faith in daily life.

Profession of Faith
We encourage the youth of our church to personally commit their lives to Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior, and to live out their maturing faith in every part of their daily lives. A significant, public acknowledgement of their faith in Christ and commitment to serve Him and His church is a public profession of their faith during the worship gathering of the congregation. Prior to making such public profession, those desiring to profess their faith in Christ meet with the pastor of the church (personally or as part of a class) to make sure they understand what it means, and then they are interviewed by shepherding elders as an affirmation that their commitment to Christ is heartfelt.

LinC (Living in Christ)
LinC is part of YouthQuest, the combined youth ministry of the Cedar Hill, Faith Community and Midland Park Christian Reformed Churches. YouthQuest exists to expose teens to the boundless love of Christ through discipleship, fellowship, and worship; then, to encourage them to be a living example by sharing Christ's love with everyone they meet. We want to teach students to love Jesus and love each other. We believe that happens through relationships. Our kids gather twice a month for a fun opening event, dinner and a time of teaching.

Dates/Times: 6:00 – 8:30 P.M. second and fourth Sundays
Location: The Barn, Faith Community CRC, 530 Sicomac Road, Wyckoff, NJ

Please check the church calendar to confirm locations and scheduled meetings.

Combining Fun and Faith
Souper Bowl Sunday. We cheer on our favorite football teams at our amazing Super Bowl Party with loads of food, games, prizes and big-screens to watch all the action. But this party is also when we gather together all the food we’ve collected for our Souper Bowl of Caring for donation to a local organization like New Hope Community Ministries Food Pantry.

Mission Trips.
Since faith without works is dead, we offer our young people opportunities to serve others and share their faith each year.

• “Live It” Youth Convention and Service trip, Marion, Indiana, July 19-25, 2011

Learning to Lead
If you sing, play an instrument, do technical design (e.g. PowerPoint, PhotoShop, web design), like to speak, you just might love being a part of the LinC leadership team. Contact Denise Banaag for details.

During their senior year, LinC members become part of the LinC leadership. Through mentoring relationships with our adult leaders, they plan our annual high school fall retreat.

Our Leaders
Our youth ministries are led by Denise Banaag, Director of Youth Ministries, with the assistance of volunteer leaders. All volunteers and leaders are carefully screened with background checks.

Graduation Breakfast
Each June, we celebrate the accomplishments of our junior high, senior high and college graduates at a scrumptious brunch before Sunday morning worship. Graduates, their families and all church members are welcome!
